Acceptable Use Policy
What the platform may and may not be used for. This one has teeth, because misuse of a revenue recovery tool has victims.
1.Purpose
Revitics identifies money a payer owed a provider under a contract, and helps the provider ask for it with evidence. That is what the platform is for. This policy sets out uses that are prohibited outright, and it exists because the same capability, misused, produces fraudulent claims and harms patients.
2.Prohibited outright
You may not use the platform to:
- Submit a claim or appeal you know to be false. Nothing in the platform authorises billing for services not rendered, upcoding, unbundling, or asserting a contract term that does not apply.
- Manufacture supporting evidence. Every exhibit the platform assembles is drawn from records already in it. Fabricating a document and attaching it is a misuse of the system and, in most cases, a federal offence.
- Pursue a patient for money the payer owes. Amounts the platform identifies as payer responsibility are not to be balance-billed to a patient.
- Load data you have no right to. Only claims your organisation is entitled to work, under an executed agreement.
- Attempt to reach another tenant's data, or to test that boundary outside our Responsible Disclosure policy.
- Share credentials. Every action is attributed to a person, and that attribution is the product. A shared login destroys it.
- Reverse engineer, resell or white-label the platform outside a partner agreement that permits it.
3.Professional judgement stays with you
The platform recommends actions and drafts appeals from verified facts. It does not decide whether to file. A person reviews and approves every appeal before it is sent, and that person's name is recorded on it.
Nothing the platform produces is a substitute for a certified coder, a compliance officer or counsel. If a finding conflicts with your compliance guidance, your compliance guidance wins.
4.What the AI may and may not do
Set out fully in AI Governance. In short: AI extracts, classifies, summarises and drafts. It never determines a dollar amount, and you should not represent to a payer that it did.
5.Enforcement
Where we become aware of a breach of this policy we will raise it with the customer's administrator first. Serious or repeated misuse — particularly anything suggesting fraudulent billing — may result in suspension, and we will meet our own legal reporting obligations.
We are not the compliance department for our customers, and we do not audit claim decisions. This policy is about what we will not knowingly facilitate.
